As it goes, if you’re fishing the waters either side of Samoa’s island of Upolu, then Taumeasina Island Resort might just be the perfect place for you.

Taumeasina boasts three well equipped on-site restaurants. The main restaurant, Lapita’s, caters a buffet breakfast, lunch, dinner, with varying menu themes each evening. Saturday nights are reserved for ‘fiafia night’ – a display that showcases many of Samoa’s traditional performing arts, including fire dancing.
If you’re looking for a pre-dinner drink, the Cascade Poolside bar and dining area is the perfect spot and also screens popular sports matches for keen visitors who want to watch their local team play.
For the best dining experience at the resort, there is Sina’s – the boutique, private dining room, perfect for a quieter meal away from the majority of other guests.
For those who just can’t switch off completely, the resort offers complimentary wifi for guests, which is renewable each day. Regardless of which room you book, all are well equipped for all your usual holiday needs and are modern, clean and most importantly, air-conditioned.
Whether you’re into snorkelling or just lounging by the pool, Taumeasina offers excellent options for both.
The resort sits on a small cove inside of a lagoon which plenty of corals and tropical fish call home. On occasion, there’s even a few blue trevally cruising the shallows, but unfortunately, they’re off limits to fisherman!
There is a full suite of activities options for spending time on the water. The resort offers complimentary hire of non-motorised equipment such as kayaks and Hobie cats, with additional paid options such as an introduction to SCUBA diving also on the menu.

Looking to really put yourself in relaxation mode? Then a visit to the spa is in order. But blokes, don't leave this one just for the ladies – this spa boasts a number of relaxing massages and sun-recovery treatments that are just the ticket to soothe aching arms and backs after a long day of casting poppers or reeling in gamefish in the tropical heat.

Taumeasina Resort is located 45-minutes from Faleolo International Airport. Transport to and from the resort is available via pre-arranged resort transfers.
Samoa’s capital city of Apia is a very affordable 10-minute taxi trip from the resort and boasts a great souvenir market and a lovely visitor centre which offers free cultural experiences. Samoa Airways operates daily services from Auckland, as well as services from Sydney and Brisbane, to Faleolo International Airport.
