Hadn't even considered getting anything shipped in mozz, tony going home soon was thinking about getting him to bring something back for me or will just wait till we get to the states.

Probably easier to get Tony and B to bring it back for ya.......are you allowed to take the boat for a spin while they are gone?Wink

I've got a bit of stuff from saltywatertackle.com and the shipping is cheap down to Lauderdale. just get it sent to your ships agent and either fed ex from there or wait till you get back there(you going to lauderdale or up to the viking yard?) thats what I do and its like christmas when you get back to the states unwrapping all the new toys.

We just got 3 go pro's and one mysteriously disappeared between the states and here out of the box so be careful. Mexico and Panama were even worse.

If you decide on a new rod from nz I will get another rod and go you halfs in shipping if it gets sent to florida

JoshW, What style of poppers do you fish? Large GT style or smaller cupped variety's?

smaller cupped face through to things like yo-zuri surface bull and river2 sea dumbell kind of things mostly and stickbaits like 100gm nomad dogtooth for example, just been using a tcurve 15-24kg, it manages both fine though casting distance while ok could be better and the rods a **** to fight fish with esp when they go deep.

I have a tenryu spike tuna 8ft 4-8PE rod, max drag 15kg. The nice thing about it is that it weighs a mere 320grams. Great for tossing lures all day. It is a stick bait rod but I can work the large williamson jet poppers without too much trouble, just have to synchronise the jerk & reel retrieve to start the pull and get the water splashing off the cup of the lure.... the tip is a little soft I think but the butt section has the gohannas to handle some heavy pressue....
Having said that I am very interested in the GOM.....
A king on the bricks is worth 5 in a boat.
