Strayline. tie a hook to the end of your line and put some bait on it. doesn't get any easier than that.
Maybe a small weight above the hook to help it get down through the bait fish in your berley.

and if you want to get slightly more technical try mainline (10-15kg) ----- joining knot or swivel--- 1-2meter flurocarbon leader (10-20kg) ------ 5-8/0 hook or two depending on bait and fish you are targetting. Bait hooks with whole or half pilchard, kahawai strip, Jack mac, baby squid etc... some info here

Over in the newbie section theres a thread about knots but has some good rigs to learn, like the ones above an some more ,with vids was really helpful,good luck,
