I have since cut it and rejoined with a nice 50 turn bimini to FG knot. Hope this helps for starters, dont really want to pull off the spool of new braid. |

I use a bimini twist when using shorter leaders to add additional abrasion resistance, especially with braid. I may be wrong.........thoughts??

DVS wrote:Cheers Aaron, I will look into varivas mono. Point noted re bimini, thinking now I see your point. It was advice I took from another fisho. Thankfully I have not had a bustoff using this method. |

It varies between different braids bro and is a rough guide, not a precise statment....eg ygk jigman x8 pe8 is 80 pound/ygk Jigman x8 pe6 is actually 70 pound(if you wish to be precise about it) but varivas pe8 is 110 pound...so your above Statement is not set in stone
