Haven't posted any lure builds lately but with my latest batch in the drying cupboard I can introduce
Marx: Inception
I had originally named them concept but someone on 360T has already claimed it. I'm open to name suggestions, not completely sold on
inception.... the other name had was
rushAll those name have been chosen to suit these latest lures.
I’ve developed what I believe is a new concept for stickbaits (happy to
be told otherwise if its been done before)
You'll see in the photos a hole in the top of their head and holes on
the side. When lure is worked water flows into top of head pushing air
bubbles out through side holes. When lure surfaces on pause the water
drains out through side holes and then repeat!
So basically the designs effect is a stick bait with a quick and wide
reaching action and a bubble trail that comes from inside the lure and
out through the gill plate area mimicking distressed escaping baitfish.
I’ve made some variations in the lures but they are all 180mm and around
70g of weight.
I'll add some video of them in action soon but for now they are still drying

Unfortunately what I don’t have the painting skill to match my
imagination. I was hoping to really blend in the reflective tape but you
can still see the sides. I was going to do scale patterns as well but
ran out of patience.
Still I’m happy with the result. Haven’t given them a swim since doing
so bare but if the paint and clear coat hasn’t drastically altered the
action I’ll have to sheepishly self appreciate and say I’ve made some
bloody good lures.
Okay chopper is a lure I made about 2months ago, its almost centre weighted and has a mouth. Caught a rat king on it when fishing last. I've just re-cleared it but didn't fix it up, hadn't taken photos before using it.

I've put UV coating on all the eyes for extra effect.
Can't wait to give them some action
