Sorry - I assumed that because it had no hooks in the close up at the beginning of the video, that is how they were tested. That being the case - very sexy indeed Clap

I just tried to take some more footage as the other lures are hard to pick up, only to find my camera has started s**ting itself, where the bottom quater of pixels are now dead and fuzzy.... its a canon SX10 too CryCry

Might not get any more vids up for a while but in terms of that latest bunch I think the jack mac has the most extreme action (and therefore prob most appealing to us humans Wink) and the action gets progressively tighter but only slightly through, Blue(pilchard), Squid(pink) and Black(Kahawai).

Think I know why and in terms of field testing it should be a good thing. The lures we think have the best action might be different to what fish think and in this case I'd take the fishes opinion any day LOL

Cheers Sam did you think that because of the friction created by the holes in the head? My theory is that friction on the head is a good thing so the water grabs onto it. The head of the lure is always going to travel as smoothly as your rod movement.

As for the tail I reckon no friction is a must if you want the back to slide around loosely. Just a theory though.

The holes would more than likely create a vacuum...The tail follows the head, you have created a fulcrum point in the tail by adding ballast... Will send you a PM so I don't put every one to sleep reading this lure jumbo Sleepy

What you see is the lure swimming completely rigged mate.

2/0 Owners (the chunky ones) and 200lb Varivas split.

Stickbaits won't even swim without the hooks, especially the belly hook as it provides the balance and some resistance needed to stop the lure spinning.
