The action on those monster mesh rods ain't the best for fighting kings straight up and down on the boat but would probably be pretty good for fighting off the rocks. Haven't experienced those demon bloods.

For that cash you might want to check out the Van Staal GT rods and the Shimano Kaibutsu Caranax range. I'm currently after the Van Staal as a land based popper rod but if I had enough folding would go the Kaibutsu Caranax Pencil Instrument, its a good rod for the money.

You mostly looking at poppers or stickbaits? Sweet for poppers generally but you'll want something with a light action in the tip to get the nice floating stick baits to dive when fishing them from land. When moving to graphite you will want to be careful around the rocks too, might need to leave it in a good rod spike.

Nothin wrong with either. Mark from Extreme has a monster mesh and has not been able to break it.

I was leant a Monster mesh form daiwa and like anything i am given to test i have been pushing it to the limit. Have not managed to break it and have been absolutely hauling on it.

Better add, they really are more of a stick bait rod than a popper rod.
