Good riddance to him also. I have actually met TTM and he was a good knowledgeable guy, even if his stories were a little stretched. He's not welcome back and neither is Fishy11.
Best gurnard fisherman in my street

Don’t mind their opinions it’s all good they can think and say their stuff, it doesn’t hurt anyone.
And I agree with pjc to Smudge it’s getting a bit thin on content here. Facebook has swallowed a lot of users ironically and some of the old guys are now to cool for school to post on here.

I disagree absolutely. Giving oxygen to fringe conspiracy stuff like what Fishy11 and TTM are into is how you end up with 5 people dead while a mob attacks the US Capitol. The stuff they were spouting is straight out of that whole bat**** crazy QAnon mess and I just hope that being proved 110% wrong about every single bit of it has given them a little bit of a dose of reality and maybe caused them to question their beliefs somewhat.

It's one thing to have a political opinion, but there's a line between that and giving space to harmful nutters.

To be fair can you tell us the circumstances with respect to how those 5 people died?

You can draw your line with respect to political opinion, others will draw theirs.

I ain’t surprised that someone trired to put those guys in on that 😂 I don’t mind listening to other people even if I disagree with them and I certainly don’t think that their opinions incited the “insurrection”. I don’t like demonstrating and those guys were foolish in falling for the bait. The outcome has actually made the Democrats more radical as they have completely overreacted to it.

I tell what incites that, it is ignorance and then they end up becoming part of an echo chamber where they only hear their own opinions recited.
That certainly is happening in the States with regard to “Trump” voters. Who are in fact conservatives who were trying to vote out woke policies. Well actually it is going much deeper than that now.

Anyway that is Americans problem, our guys here can make up their own opinions and should be able to voice them without censorship and that is my point.
It is getting so ridiculous.

it’s a private network there is no right to free speech. I am happy to hear opinions when it is a subjective matter like I prefer fibreglass boats to aluminium. That is a matter for personal opinion because which is better depends on a bunch of different attributes and how they are prioritised. And your priority will almost certainly be different to mine.

Others were just deliberately spreading lies and misinformation and never would have stopped. It wasn’t opinion. You don’t get to have opinions on facts. They were objectively wrong, they were inflammatory, high jacked threads and just were an enormous pain in the ass. If you are someone who routinely gets socio political information from fishing forums then I suggest you stop because what you learn will almost certainly be biased, unsupported and often plain wrong.

The owners get to choose whom they allow to participate on the forum. For me they made the right decision.

I miss Tagit too as he really knew his stuff as far as I could
