negative ...its got a breakwater round it now. The ramp is now the calmest spot in the Gulf.

Had a look at the channel on xmas day and decided against it, calm seas called us out wide, also looking at next Monday as being our next window of opportunity.Must have been some satisfied clients today Damo.Thumbs Up

its been non stop action north end of tiri channal kingis as lardge as 25 lb and snaps up to 20 lb weighing big fish every day got cuts all over my hand s from lifting heavy fish all day on the traces too but its all happening out thereat the moment with the wind the way it is thou the only boats im seeing out there is the big tiri cat and container ships you need a boat like diversity to handle fishing in 37m of water and 30knts of wind and half meter swells we just slowly drift at 0.5 knts put 10 oz on straight to the sand every 4 to 5 2lb pannies we getin fish from 10 to 20 lb weighed but a lot of the guys have lost some beatiful fish to the sharks im seeing about 5 to 10 a day getting munched usally when they get em to the surface and see the big snap they been fighting for 10mins getting turned from a 10lber to a 5lbr lol but each drop is a lucky dip as we all know.
apart from that the dolphins and bridie whales have been between kawau anchouright and tiri also observing orcas got to see a orca snacking on a dolphin the other day impresive but the amount of sea life out there close in is awsome we even been hand feeding 1m kingis but not telling where ha book in with us and youl learn a lot we only spend about 325 days on the water with them all so following them is a daily thing a . any questions or bookings give us a call or jump on the email chris skipper diversity :)

I know where your been feeding the rats....done it myself a few months ago, had a great time with the kids.

worst time of year for you guys Damo, bloody weather has ruined many trips I dare say, good to see your out there doing it while I am siting here waiting for it to pass, 30kts the other day solo was a bit of a worry one slip and its all over.

Hand feeding kings wow very cool we used to feed them boiled peas at the barrier when I was a kid, would be a hell buzz for your punters

We are pretty lucky really...the boat is a go anywhere vessel, the Gulf is sheltered and its only really big easterly that shuts us down. Place is chocka full of fish for 9 months of the year so and like Chris said its looking like 325 trips this year. Almost went and secured a 2nd boat ...its just finding the right lease or purchase options.
