Yeah pretty much what The Dood said. Think its mainly higher breaking strain, the ultra is the newer braid. PE6 in the ultra WX8 has a breaking strain of 86lb, PE6 in the X8 is rated 70lb.
Its real nice stuff, pricey, but you can get it for about half the price getting it shipped from Japan compared with what it sells for here.

Stonefish where is best to order from in Japan? Do you have to pay extra tax when it comes into NZ.

jpangler.com is good. Don't have to pay taxes as long as the cost isn't over Customs threshold, theres a good iphone app called "What's My Duty" that you can plug the numbers into before you buy something to check if your going to get stung with taxes.  Usually if what your buying is under about $250 NZ your pretty sweet.

Australia has more relaxed rules than us, as long as its under $1000 (oz $) it doesn't get taxed.

yea they trying to change that over there aswell as thats alot of stuff you can get for under that,it is hurting there retailers .i find my self buying in smaller lots and that limits what is worth my while.still big savings to be had.like alot of the car stuff i get can it can be up to 50% saving so worth the effort.
sorry back on topic

Yeah, but David 'Cunny' Cunliffe wants more of it.

Anyway, back to topic, I've got the Jigman Ultra PE6 and PE3 on my sets, like it alot.

Sweet fellus I think the regular Jigman will do the job but hey who knows till I get in front of the two options. It's to go on new BX400 DFS Slammer in blue which in turn will go on the Kaha100, will discuss the two options with Kane when I place my order today.

Pete, go with Daiwa Saltiga boat braid, you can buy a 1800yd spool for $300 landed so only a bit dearer than a 300m spool of the Jigman. Do the mathsLOL
Never had a problem with it yet and a quality braidWink

Have always used Ultra, but then have a few mates that have a lot of experience (like Kaveman) that swear by it (Daiwa).
I have one of my big stellas loaded with it, not sure which one anymore TBH so probably an indication that I am completely happy with it too.

Ebay is best, plenty of reputable stores that stock it but price does varyWink
