For me....probably more of a game
 
Games are distinct from work, which is usually carried out for remuneration, and from art, which is more concerned with the expression of ideas. Key components of games are goals, rules, challenge, and interaction. Games generally involve mental or physical stimulation, and often both. I think you got it StPaul. Obsession, addiction, fascination, love affair.

So presumably everyone agrees that competition fly fishing is a sport... but whether everyday fly fishing is I am yet to decide. I think it does all depend on your definition of sport.
