Hey guys
i have been fishing for a small while now and have managed to pick up a few spots for low tide but i am having trouble trying to find a high tide spot.  as i only get a couple of hours every weekend in the eveneing i am usually fishing right on high tide.

What Mike said , other thoughts are - Wenderholm/Orewa /Waiwera estauries for a looksie in the lower reaches for Kahawai or kings , explore the holes and channels up stream for snapper/Trevally etc. East coast, north shore  beaches early and late in the day especially as the anchovie season is about to start( hopefully) ,North head, Tamaki drive , Tamaki estaury . Upper harbour past paremoremo. Meola at the start of the reef into the mangroves north and south side , get a kayak or paddle board.Head along the Clevedon coast way , spots right beside the road, Manukau harbour , go north to Whangaparoa, or norther and fish omaha estuary by the bridge , Ti point , or the rocks at leigh Harbour ........ Catch a ferry to waiheke and walk left or right and fish the ledges 

I was just getting started , some of those I have not sussed fully - but if you think about all the micro spots that might fire at certain times of the year at different stages of the tide - then its an ever growing list. Something that has not been covered yet is the small bronze whalers in the harbour , that alone is another whole fishery for flyfishing and will reveal new and unexpected spots. But someone needs to put the time in and work it all out..... I am open to sponsorship and only have a modest lifestyle to maintain ....

so far thats three of us interested , I will pitch it to them tomorrow.... now the small matter of finding the bronzies and getting them to eat a fly on the flats .... easy

The shell banks are at the end of Walker road, not at point chev beach. You will need to get there a couple of hours before high and watch out for some of the chanells, they are deep and fairly swift, but it easy to spot the right path out and back.
