Yes I think most of my spots are low tide spots, but you can fish over high tide on the shell banks at point chev. I should think just about anywhere along Tamaki drive would also be good over the high tide.
One thing to have a think about is that there are a few places that only really hold fish over the high tide, some of the flats around Te-atatu are a good example, dry at low tide but hold some good fish over high.
I have not fished there myself but I believe Herald Island could be worth the drive as well, fishing off the wharf.
All the best.

What Mike said , other thoughts are - Wenderholm/Orewa /Waiwera estauries for a looksie in the lower reaches for Kahawai or kings , explore the holes and channels up stream for snapper/Trevally etc. East coast, north shore  beaches early and late in the day especially as the anchovie season is about to start( hopefully) ,North head, Tamaki drive , Tamaki estaury . Upper harbour past paremoremo. Meola at the start of the reef into the mangroves north and south side , get a kayak or paddle board.Head along the Clevedon coast way , spots right beside the road, Manukau harbour , go north to Whangaparoa, or norther and fish omaha estuary by the bridge , Ti point , or the rocks at leigh Harbour ........ Catch a ferry to waiheke and walk left or right and fish the ledges Smile

I was just getting started , some of those I have not sussed fully - but if you think about all the micro spots that might fire at certain times of the year at different stages of the tide - then its an ever growing list. Something that has not been covered yet is the small bronze whalers in the harbour , that alone is another whole fishery for flyfishing and will reveal new and unexpected spots. But someone needs to put the time in and work it all out..... I am open to sponsorship and only have a modest lifestyle to maintain ....
coke , nike , subaru , ford , actually how about the Skoda world sharkfishing week - Waitemata 2015 ??

Get enough interest and you could make it into a program for Discovery Channels Shark Week

Anchovies season  hear already
east coast bays is chocker
recomend there , drift in a yak or small boat witha drogue, in close 2-6 metres of water
ive been doing well, by drifting aloong, looking for jumpin anchovies, quitly paddling over
droppin a small 5cmmax acchovie lookin fly into the area, good times
dawn and dusk best in any area you choose,
find it more fun without berley, just cover lots of ground
looks like low tides this weekend evenings
Nymphomaniac pm me and ill give ya directions to a sweet spot in the harbour [snag free!]Wink

The shell banks are at the end of Walker road, not at point chev beach. You will need to get there a couple of hours before high and watch out for some of the chanells, they are deep and fairly swift, but it easy to spot the right path out and back.
All the best.
