I use both the 60lb and 100lb Hollowcore, and cannot fault either one at all... I've fished alot of braids, inlcuding the very high priced ones like YGK and Varivas, and can honestly say I prefer the JB Hollow.... especially for casting...

I still fish Varivas GT Max PE 10 on my Stella 18000, on the original spool, and have 100lb JB Hollow with a topshot of 150 metres of GT Max PE 10 on it, but this is merely because I haven't yet had to replace the GT Max, and had some left on a spool so topshotted the new 25000 Spool..

Fish my 10000SW with the 16000 spool with 100lb Hollow... brilliant set up....
TO RIDE, SHOOT STRAIGHT AND SPEAK THE TRUTH.

I recently changed over to Jerry Brown Solid in the 100lb and I really like the line.  But, I have experienced an increase in those nasty little wind knots that were spoken about earlier in this thread.  I think my next purchase will be the 80lb hollow though.  I really like what everyone is saying about it.

If anyone is interested in line tests for Jerry Brown and other braids, this site has lots of information.  http://www.paulusjustfishing.com
Tis better to have hooked and lost than never to have hooked at all.

Hi Guys
Should you go to the 16 strand 80lb you may get even more problems as the JB 80lb line is bigger and lays flatter, generally it may not be stronger that depends on the batch, as the 100lb is 1560 denier and the 80lb is 1600 denier and a little fluffier.
Wind the lower portion onto the spool tighter and do not over fill the spool.

Welcome Paulus,

For everyones info, Paulus has a great line testing website and has developed his own braid in conjunction with Tasline from here in NZ. It is called Tasline All White braid, you can check it out on his website through the link from Poppin Tonga.

I bought some of the PE3.5, and it is the shizzle!!! Crazy thin, nice to handle, and tests to 78lb!

I got a 500 yard spool on my PE4, its now my go to bluenose reel!!

He also sent samples of his other lines, they look the goods as well, hes got from PE0.2 @ 8lb thru to PE8 @ 137lb.

I havent heard of anyone else using it here, but I will definitely be getting more for my other reels when the time comes.
