No not yet... But I will get some video when out with Ben, we can get a good vantage point from on the roof of the boat... They are a diving bait... sit at 85-90 degrees. |

I pressume you meant sinking? Are you near or have access to a wharf, pool or lake? Doesnt need to be in the big water.. just curious on how it swims.

Inbox is full bro... I will get some baits up to Ben for more testing if you are on the boat bro have a cast and test the lures yourself, If they pass with no more work needed I will have some for sale soon... Will offer the 230mm 130g/115g up for sale first... Will make some 200mm/100g baits also and aim to have some of the big 265mm/170g ready for later in the season. |

I haven't seen the October issue, but that is wicked news
Proud as but this is only the beginning...Weather is looking like it will not play ball this weekend... Yet to see if I will be fishing.
I did go for a cast today to try a 230mm/130g stick bait. I think this will be very fishy...
![]() The bait in the middle is the 130g, the one below is 115g and the larger bait is 170g
![]() I googled a image of a Jack Mackerel and this is the end result...
![]() Trying to capture the faint lines seen on the fish with paint is a nightmare!!! |
fishntips wrote:Very pretty. Looks a bit more like a narado than a gamma I would think. They are very long and that can kill the action sometimes. The narados have next to no action and I think it is their length and skinny outline shape on the side that is its downfall. I think gammas have a balast weight going through the length of the lure and weighted heavier at certain places, rather than a ball sinker on the end. 170g is very heavy for a stickbait, how heavy is your rod?. Bit more height in the outline and a sharper belly might help. Think that middle one is closer to the money. Would be keen to see the action alongside your pretty cosmetics. Action is where it is at. Keep them coming. Good work. |
Kenji has done superbly well with creating a great lure but more so the hype that surrounds it, yes the Gamma is tail weighted but don't over think it, I hear and read all kinds of crazy assumptions about Gammas mystery weighting systems etc...
( Not trying to be offensive guys )
. I am reluctant to have stainless steel end caps machined yet, yes they would look good but haven't confirmed dimensions etc whilst I keep changing and tweaking the lures, but will look into it in the future. Agreed 170g is a hefty bait, but there is guys casting much heavier, I use a light popping blank and it is too much for it.
