Sweet for poppers generally but you'll want something with a light action in the tip to get the nice floating stick baits to dive when fishing them from land. When moving to graphite you will want to be careful around the rocks too, might need to leave it in a good rod spike. |

Personally i like the action for fighting kings staright up and down, the rod is pretty forgiving, for the money they are awesome.
