found some clips on utube about FG's, looks like u need a good set of teeth to do it LOL.

I find on the PR, if you dont burn the tag end of the leader, short tight bobbin turns and half hitches is sweet for casting.

i am the same as falco, a one eyed FG jigger and stick baiter. super easy to tie on the boat as well

A variation on the FG is the 'Sebel Knot', I use a combo of the two. The 'Sebel' way makes the 1st  part of a 'FG'  easy by lapping the braid from a rod tip rather than your fingers, then finish it off with the standed 1/2 hitches .

I use stickbaits and poppers from land so I need to cast longe distances then on a boat.so I have my leader about 1.3m-1.6m joind to 80lb whiplash with a FG knot.Works a treat.JUST WHERE GLOVES

if your knots done right it goes through the guides well anyway. always useful to have a proper popping rod though that has bigger guides to maximize our distance. wraps onto the reel
