Well done Eva and Henry have the bug now. Now its up to you Tonto put them some real kings,havent caught a legal one in yrs let alone land a undersize one,normally get busted on the farms

It was pretty dire off the coast today. We fished at 42, 46 then 36m. All for 9 small snapper and 12 average gurnard plus one kahawai. Would have been happy with that in the harbour but yeah. At the ramp is seemed we fared better than everyone else apart from one guy who got a limit catch to 16lb off the windmills well south of the bar. I know fish move in close after spawning but didn't figure on being that close!

We spent the morning chasing Kingies with all methods but couldn't even raise a rat so decided to follow Mike's advice over the turn of the low tide and hit the jack pot. Thank you, plenty of New Years fish for everyone to enjoy.

The Kaipara on monday was pretty quiet , managed 5 snapper but it was a struggle, beautiful day thou .I blame to full moon

Managed to get out in the harbour for a fish yesterday, first time in a long while.  Was a nice day to be out, but all we caught were lots of baby snapper.  Tried a few spots, but was the same everywhere.

6-8am this morning. Under 10min paddle to my spot in 1.6m
Fish straight away. As soon as the sun was on my spot it was all over
Went deeper 4.1m got 1 more then went home... was glass calm conditions in bright sunshine, which I've never liked fishing in
Snaps 37-43cm & a 50+ kahawai. 4x low 30s went back. No undersize
Frozen piper & fresh mack, basically 7 baits used today

The fishing this weekend has been very positive.  

I launched very early on both days to strayline fresh baits before sunrise.  However I wasn't getting the results I had hoped for, but by the turn of sunrise I switched to softbaiting.  

Softbaiting has been very effective for me; especially when the tides are this slow.  

On Day 1, I found the snapper to be feeding at the 1-2m range.  
On Day 2 the snapper had moved to the 6-8m range. 

I caught some very fat snapper to take home and it made me fall in love with softbaiting again.  Long live the Manukau.

Great day out on the Muddy today, we fished the incoming tide and were back home with a full bin by 12.

My mate was incredibly hung over but still managed to catch some nice fish and crack a smile
