Aaron from Maverick (Raglan Charter boat) was saying on Friday & Saturday that he had a school of skippies beside the boat in 35m and the week before he had seen sunfish. Won't be long before the marlin turn up

hey catch
was out on the water 60m off the new plymouth port on sunday, we took gear to troll for tuna but it never left the cabin
low 16's and green ... the last couple of weeks of southerlyishes have pushed it all away :(
ive heard from friends of friends (as you do) that it got up to 19 degree on the shelf maybe 4weeks ago ... but havnt had a northerly since

i have been looking at various sst's but not holding my breath unfortunatly

Lew don't get hung on temps just keep towing them plastics and having a go bro cos it is believed alot of NP fish come from the Indian Ocean and South Aus Sea... versus warmer northern waters...

No worries allan ... MITE have to give it a crack in the weekend weather permitting, i would assume the plan would be drop in the (small) lures around 80m and head out and up for as long as petrol allows, will pop in an update one what we see out there
