Any of you Swing owners got a tip on stopping the small day hatch in front of the seat sticking?

It works fine untill I sit my ample posterior in the yak at which stage it is a bit of a nightmare to remove. It feels like the plastic cockpit area streches a bit when sitting on the seat  making it hard to unscrew. I can remove it by lifting my weight off the seat, not ideal in sloppy conditions.

Any ideas.

Maybe some foam bracing in between the seat and the bottom of the yak could reduce the flex?

A reasonably thick stainless steel backing ring fitted to the inside of the hatch cut-out may help stop any flexing?

Otherwise dreadeye's suggestion may be worth trying out.

Just put a little bit of Armor-All around the thread of the hatch lid and spin it in and out a couple of times. It'll be smooth 'as' after that.
Try not to get any on the little rubber 'O' ring.
