It called a Blue Rose and its Shimano's top line Jig rod. I have fished them and are not overly impressed, just a rod and heavy due to glass content in blank. Saw OH version break but I feel the blank may have been creased before a big fish creased it permanent.
There are a couple of different types latest.

Japan Domestic Model (2008 New)

Called a Blue Rose Inbreed & Full Gene

Cant remember TPEmbarrassed but it was the lighter model with the slow spiral that started out going right then went into a slow left hand wrap with only the last 2 eyes in the full upside down position.
Quite a soft rod and I would have thought roughly equal to a JM 200 but it was rated to throw a 280gm jig.
As to the reel I spied a Diawa z30 with my little eye and I understand that tackle shop is getting 3 in. Be rude not to eahThumbs%20Up

The Z30 would be an absolutely perfect match for that Smith AMJ-52M rod Boulder.
CONFIDENCE: The feeling you have before fully understanding the situation.

But you hate spiral wraps Boulder and have told me many times that they are rubbish?

Confused

certainly one of the greatest about turns in the Authorised History of Tackle Hoedum yet......

It wasn't till he realised that by accepting spirals as a bone fide piece of fishing equipment and that would then allow him to bolster the number of rods/reels/line/lures/bags/tackle websites etc he owns by at least 100% that all became right (or is it left?)  in the world of Boulder regards spirals.....Thumbs%20Up....certainly was pretty to watch from the outside looking in!!

It was almost akin to a goat botherer denouncing God then becoming a member of the clergy in the same sentence was the speed at which the transformation took place.....brilliant!!

But ask your self why many of the top Jap jig rods are left hand spiralErmm Then wait till you see the twisted sister whose birth is but 2 weeks away.
Then if I decide I still like you I may/repeat MAY let you have a turn with it so you can equally proclaim your transformation to the clergy of the left.
