Whilst walking her newborn baby and dog on Omaha Beach yesterday, Janine King saw a large fish splashing around in the shallows.

Being a true Kiwi chick she took the dog's lead, waded into the tide and lassooed the fish by the tail and dragged it ashore. (You will note the dog lead around the tail)

The fish a broadbill, now resides in the freezer on ice waiting for partner Tony to deal with!

Fish was 2.13 metres long

Bender, are you going allow blatant theft of your fish?
I would rather laugh with the Sinners, than cry with the Saints

Have just had stern words with the missus for not getting to it first. It's all her fault!

Pretty mind blowing that is (and such a tasty wee fish too ... broadie steaks on the barby).
Nobody has ever come up with a great idea after a second bottle of water.

A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort.

Kezz - it certainly looks like the species known as the Anchorite Shallow Water Broadbill. Also known to frolic and gambol in the shallows during the cooler months.

WICKED indeed and I wonder how many burly men would have waded in and tail roped a broardbill. I suspect I may have thought about it for some time before having a go at that.
