









I had to teach in the morning so didn't get to Whakatane until 11:00am but what a stunning day. Next to no wind and quite mild.
Straight out to one of our tarakihi spots and straight in to them. We got about 30 in a couple of hours and a decent (around 20kg) kingfish that had its tail removed by a shark on the way up. Tried another couple of spots for a co
uple
more tarakihi and a couple of sharks then fished a spot I have been wanting to target for a while. 6 snapper and 4 decent gurnard to round the day off. Awesomely
