Any suggestions? Looking at something to open 150-200lb rings.

Anyone had any experience with "Texas Tackle" pliers?
They look good and are half the price  of the Owners and HPAs
if your boyfriend doesn't like fishing....you have a girlfriend

Berkley(blue ones) if you want cheap but does the job and lasts......
The ones "Kaveman" sells on here.......other ones similar to his ....move at the jaws.......including BM.....and need tightening regular........his ones have a tooth there...so they cant move.....thats why they get my vote.....

Thanks lbd, yes still got a few pairs, alloy so never rust and all jaws and cutters are replaceable so when you need an upgrade only cost $10 instead of buying new ones.

I have a pair of the small ones, they are the ducks nuts for small split rings, they really aren't made for doing anything but splitrings and I guess that's why they're good at it.

That said I've only used them on light-ish rings as I don't do any fishing where the split-ring is taking any kind of load; mostly just attaching jigs to the Jigstar ringed grommets.

Thats ok Kev......they have braid cutters as well and if i remember rightly ... they come with a spare set of jaws isnt it kev?...a pouch and lanyard....Sharp price for those too....blue works the bestLOL

I ended up getting a pair of Texas Tackle (large) from USA.
$35 including shipping and 4 days from the states to my door, that"s pretty damn fast!!!
