Anyone had any experience with "Texas Tackle" pliers?
They look good and are half the price  of the Owners and HPAs

Thanks lbd, yes still got a few pairs, alloy so never rust and all jaws and cutters are replaceable so when you need an upgrade only cost $10 instead of buying new ones.
Opens largest of split rings with ease
PM me if interested $50 a pr with pouch

I have a pair of the small ones, they are the ducks nuts for small split rings, they really aren't made for doing anything but splitrings and I guess that's why they're good at it.

That said I've only used them on light-ish rings as I don't do any fishing where the split-ring is taking any kind of load; mostly just attaching jigs to the Jigstar ringed grommets.
