So why not buying a spinning reel 4000 (which is strong up to 20 LB fish) but to use it also when in rivers and to try catching small fish of 2 LB where the lures are 5 grams... I see people buy spinning reel in several sizes (I am talking about only spinning reels). I want to understand this reason... I want to start fishing but I don't want to buy beginners tackle... I am about to go fishing with people that knows the job and I want to buy good tackle. Thanks. |
That is quite a statement to make on here. Why get different sized spinning reels? Well it come down to fish targeted and your type of fishing. A 4 piece 2-4lb river rod with a Stradic C14 1000 on ain't going to be much use in a work up in the gulf with a possible chance of a Kingfish. That is when you want at least a 2500-5000 sized reel. Or you might want say a 20000 sized Stella for jigging or a baitrunner for livebaiting/straylining. TotoFinish wrote:I have to say that I came out very confused but I blame only myself for that. I will say that I am only a beginner who wants to go fishing with experienced friend. And I want to come with a decent setup. I have purchased a Stradic CI4+ 3000 reel yesterday and now I am looking for a rod to match it with. something for saltwater to go fishing in the sea. |
