A shop like WS Laurie will give you good advice. Just for future reference you can often get a good deal on a combo set, it is usually cheaper than buying them separate. It is a great reel though, just bought one myself.<br>]]>

Softbaiting= 2500 to 3000 reel with 6-8lb braid. This can also be used for bottom bashing and Straylining. Put on a 15-20lb leader and you will land most in the gulf<br />I would start with a softbait set up then add tackle as you need]]>
