Bit of a change from the poppers,...It is 200mm and will be around 100g when finished, just on the roto now getting a final coat of epoxy...I think I am up to 6-7 coats now...Has been good to get detailed with the finish and away from popper paint jobs.

marx wrote:Mint! Superb craftsmanship there RAL, must of been a fair bit of work gone into that puppy. If it swims as good as it looks the kings won't have a chance. How do you find making stickbaits vs poppers? Take longer to make? I'm getting close to finishing 4 of my own, just waiting on some supplies. |

Thanks again guys for the kind words...
Marx, I think the more you make the less mistakes you make, so it gets easier but in saying that it still is abit of work...
The key like you said is if it swims well, alot of time and R&D is put in here so no matter how fancy it looks if it won't swim it is pretty useless... Time will tell.
As for poppers they are a bit quicker because they are concentric shapes easily turned on a lathe...stickbaits definitely are alot more time consuming even more so for a one man band, that explains the price difference on the market for the smaller makers.
Let us know when you finish yours and I am also running low on supplies that why the poppers are for sale, need to place another expensive order in the US, damn freight is a killer! |

Few casts this morning...and it swims! Action is a bit tighter than a gamma but just as erractic...Looks good so far, just needs some feild testing. Watch this space.
