Hi there Garrick - welcome to the forum,
Frankly you would be detracting considerably from the fun of jigging on light but powerful specialized jigging gear. It would be very hard work as well. Bite the bullet mate and hire Damo's gear.Good jigging tackle is specialised, why not give it a crack with what youve got and see if you like it, which i know you will. then spend some cash and get some really good stuff. I know myself i have tried to get away with spending less on lesser gear only to find out it does not last, then i have had to go out and spend the money on the better gear, this has meant in the long run i have had to spend a whole lot more cash.
