I am unfamiliar with the rod,but rate Offshore softbait rods highly owning a few myself,but would maybe spend more on the reel if this is a starter set and buy a used rod for bugger all and change up when you feel the need.
On sunday we fished PE5 to its limits on these reels - it is plenty IMO..although I will get a PE8-10 set up in the future for some of the scary machines that we saw and for traveling to the tropics again. |
