Whats a popper?...B A might know, he's a cherry popper. Maybe cherry is the best colour

Thanks Shane I have been to Gurrock's  and brought some of those you refer to , and I have just ordered 14 poppers and stick baits from overseas, got some fisherman FFCLabo and seven sea that puts me to about 35 poppers, 50 rapala and Mann's, and 25 jigs, me thinks that's will be enough  Ps good lunch the other day would you be interested in coming home one lunch time and check out the lures etc, 1 klm from work

Bloomin heck! 35 poppers! Mate, how many do you plan to lose, or are you gonna start retailing them over there! For a 2 week trip, hell I'd say 6 poppers would be adequate, I seldom would lose more than...well, 3 max I guess, in a 3 week trip to the solomons, and i popper there every day.
You will indeed be a well stocked angler! :-)
As for 50 rapalas style lures.... ay caramba! :-) I take it you are not planning on using any wire traces? :-)

Colours seem not to be quite so important as silouette when poppering, although I always like to have a mix of blues and greens with flashes of red too, but that is just personal pref, purple/black can be a good colour too.
The best poppers at gourocks are the Yo-zuri  surface bull GT poppers. re-rig the split rings and trebles with owner hooks and rings, they are a superb lure, my number one go-to popper. After that, halco makes some nice, relatively cheap, poppers that do the job well enough as well.
