hey guys any little tricks you have done to improve/make your life easier while fishing of the beach/rocks homemade inventions or rigs etc

or to take it one step further...

Piece of PVC pipe (gotta love this stuff!) with a short length of concrete rebar hose clipped on to it for those teeny, tiny cracks in the bricks.

After leaving one behind, I made a rush job for a trip and it was only duct taped on and is still going after three years.

For fishing livies, a small carabiner on the end of your anti-freight train tether will slide down and sit nicely at the bottom of the rebar giving a good strong anchor point (if your tether is long enough)

At low tide, bury your weighted berley bomb in the sand, run length of cord back to HT line.

Once enough water has covered it, give the cord a yank and pull the berley out of the sand.  It'll sit there doing its thing, and an occasional pull on the cord will give another puff of goodies into the water if you want to.

- Use a rolled sheet of 2 ply bathroom tissue as impact shield on your surfcasting ledger rig.. they bust out when wet. I can give further details on this if anybody is interested.

- You can use worn out spark plugs as weights.

- The cork from a wine bottle can be put thrugh the trace just above the bait to make it float above the bottom.
