stretch in them (due to the way they are made) and if you catch a fly on a tree
then try to pull it out, and it pops out under load you often end up with a
huge twisted mess.
Can be great when in the salt when chasing large aggressive predators as they can turn over those big bulky flys and their stretchiness gives you a bit of an advantage on the fast takes of big preditory fish (less chance of poping the tippet).
There pretty easy to make from some up with a spool of
