Any one getting good results on crays? Generally what depth are they in and when do they move in shallow?

Correct, I dived off large yacht so anchored off the east side, in 31 metres, dived down the anchor chain to check set and then into the base of Shag Rock came up to around 12 metres to find the first of the four, there were plenty there, several evading capture. Let me knowhow you get on if you have a crack, it is defintely worth another dive.

Got a cray dive in today, two of us got 7 keepers and threw back 6 in softshell.
Picked them all up in less than 6m at low tide.
 
Also caught a rat kingi, unfortunatly it was just under. He had a good run though and got me all excited.

Morning, havent' been since end of scollap season to busy catching snapper  in Rangi Channel with SP. have to plan a trip soon. Whats Viz like on west coast?

The viz was about as good as it gets over there,
 could probly see 10m-15m.
There was abit of silt in the water as well.
This was good for there. Once I dived there and the vis was less than 1m, I couldnt see my fingertips.
