Hi, i know this has come up a few times on the forum but what i am after is some more specific information. I have moved from the Aquarius cream and no more tears etc to using this stuff call Goo which is probably the same as the stuff that OH sells. Can anyone tell me what it is? I suspect its that vet lube people talk about. Product is green. I want some more but don't want to purchase it at the $$$$$$$ charged by OH.
Thanks

oldyella, I've used vet lub for the last 10 years , that is what OH lub was made off , the vet lub is good it is water base so mild on your skin and has a biult in disenfectant, so your suit dose not start to grow any nasties, you should be able to buy it at any vet

I see there was a discussion some while ago about the use of seawater. Certainly a good boy scout option, but I am too much of a sook to dunk my skinny carcass in the sea without copious amounts of neoprene on. I did forget my wetsuit once in 14degC wellington water (yup, wetsuit, go figure), and tried out 10 minutes in my "smalls". It was hard to hold my breath. It was hard to even breathe out.

someone a while ago mentioned alpha-keri oil.it is used for moisterising skin( like baby oil) and relief for eczema/dermatitis. its available at any pharmacy ( cheap $7). its really strange as its an oil that mixes with water. so I add a spoonful to my powerade lube bottle and i slip right into my wettie. with soap I used have dry skin now climb out my wettie all moisterised . just looked at the bottle and its main ingredient is lanolin oil. smells good to

I have been using plain old seawater for a while now.  I just dunk the suit, trappping some water inside as I bring it out of the water, then sliding legs and arms in fairly quickly. Seems to be very effective.

For a hygeneic way you could use Water mixed with a lubracant (Shampoo or W/E) And a little bit of detol ?
