Money raised from the current Auckland Westpac Rescue Trust’s lottery will help save lives and fund at least 185 missions this summer. Last year, the Auckland Westpac Rescue Helicopter service was tasked with a record 1,239 missions, with a third of those being accidents and 75 of those being marine-related.
While the charity believes being outdoors is part of our DNA and actively encourages everyone to enjoy all our beautiful country has to offer, getting out and about comes with its risks. In anticipation of another busy summer and with 2022 likely to be the ninth consecutive year of 1,000+ missions, the Auckland service encourages everyone to have fun but, first and foremost, stay safe. With these two goals in mind, the charity currently offers Kiwis the chance to win an Extreme 745 Game King and a 2022 Ford Ranger Sport.
This is the Auckland Westpac Rescue Helicopter’s third lottery. With the previous two lotteries selling out, the charity encourages all potential punters to enter early to be in with a chance to win. Tickets are expected to sell out before the lottery’s official close date of December 7, 2022.
The individual ticket price remains at $100; however, with the help of sponsors Extreme Boats, Yamaha NZ and Ford New Zealand, organisers have gone the extra mile with their latest “extreme” offering – a prize package valued at over $300,000.
The Extreme 745 Game King, powered by a Yamaha F250 Outboard Motor, will afford one lucky winner every excuse to get out on the water. It comes complete with a Chart plotter/ Sounder combo, onboard fridge, toilet, and a Voyager tandemaxle trailer. Two Shimano fishing combos have even been thrown in to sweeten the prize deal. The Extreme Lottery prize package doesn’t end there.
The same lucky winner will drive away with a 2022 Ford Ranger Sport offering the ultimate driving experience. This double-cab ute, with a 10-speed automatic gearbox, 4WD capability and 3-litre V6 Turbo Diesel engine, has more than enough grunt for towing an Extreme 745 Game King, with a tow rating of up to 3,500kg. Ticket sales are limited to just 10,000 tickets to give all who enter a decent shot at taking home one very cool prize, just in time for summer.
