There has been some debate about this in various internet forums, but I have decided that for that extra bit of confidence, this suggestion has some warrant.
When joining braid to leader using a simple knot such as a uni to uni, take the time to put a minute drop of super glue on it, then roll the knot between your fingers (avoiding actually sticking them together).
Superglue is now incredibly inexpensive, and I keep several small tubes in my tackle box just for this.
I have yet to have a break off at the knot using this method, and it's a lot easier and less time consuming that using a Bimini twist (I know, many of you out there can do them in x seconds with your eyes closed). It's all about having your line in the water for the maximum time, right?
