Right now 200 is my lightest, but was just thinking last night that I want something to work 100g jigs.  Any suggestions from anyone.  It will have to be a custom spiral I think, just because of the lightness of the blank.  without that it would roll right over with a big fish, unless I want to go spinner, which might be the way for this.

Synit blanks here in USA are way too expensive.  I don't care how good they are.

These are the BLANK ONLY prices for us:

350FT 5'4" is $279 shipped
450FT 4'8" is $252 shipped
450FT 5'2" is $286 shipped

I just think this is rediculous when there are so many other great blanks available for a fraction of the cost.  A black hole nano tech is only $160.  I'm hoping you are getting the Synit's for less.

Is that $160 shipped to NZ? A mate in TGA bought a JM 3kings blank from FishingBuddy and that was about $260 before shipping and tax. Bloody thing is still hiding from his wife in his garage, UNbuilt too. ya reading this Ezra!

Still, the Sage Xi3 fly blank I want is $531 plus shipping and tax! Whos idea was it to live so far away from everything???

I just got a brand spankers Xzoga TakaBA100 PE1-3, it will paired with a Trinidad 12 hopefully get that this week. Gonna fish PE2 on it as there is no point in going to heavy.

Its gonna be my go to jig rod off my yak gonna see if I can get some good spring snapper on it, then target the small to medium inshore kings over summer. Never jigged before will be a learning curve this season I reckon.

Thats the plan anyways can't wait to put a bend on her!

Been posted before, but here is mine:

JM 100 witha Diawa Ryoga Bay Jigger with YGK Ultra PE 2 on it...
Hasn't truly been tested yet, some rat kings and such, and small Jobfish... but been caned a few times...
Probably gonna add a JM PE 3 to it to give myself some better line capacity of PE 3... be fun on the Rat Kings and Applecores to 20 kilos we get down here...

Bouldie - Had a look at CW's 2 Kings 200 he had over here with him, and bashed a decent 20 kilo GT with it in quick time outta 100 metre odd dpeths, and gotta say I do love the feel of those.... but if I got a UL 120 SPin that would mean another Stealla purchase mate, and that just can't happen yet.... Perhaps a 120UL in conventional to match to a "Amberjack" Colurway PE 3 is the way to go, that way the Ryoga can stay on the Purple Passion Stick...

This is the lightest stick I have seen used ..... period!!!!

Literally a $10 kids bait stick stripped of all the guides and reel seat then rebuilt

Mike catching a king on this topped off the all time epic day...kings going off at Slipper, kings going off at back of Aldies, then nailed a striped Marlin on JM300 jig rod and PE5reel, back in for snapper fish, they were big and whacking softbaits at shark alley filled the bin, then one last jig at Slipper - a nice line of kingfish too finish things off including this one on the $10 lolly rod as the last fish of the day - mental, and will be hard to top, can't remember what the reel was but the next time it got used on a decent fish it fell to piecesLOLthink the reel was doing all the work a....

anyway back to topic JM100 is the best fish hooker for overhead i have seen.  seen plenty of bustoffs on it though including JM video day....."Now I use light rod.  Good for this size fish.  JM100. Good. (Jigjigjigjigjig) Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz F*******"  Only thing is you got to light rod and you hook the real big fish.  Still got to have the same drag setting as the big rod as the fish still pull the line off.......

Best alround weight i reckon is JM200 3 Kings and PE5.........in overhead anyway.  Fish hooking like nothing else and still loads of fighting power.

You can't go past a JM 3 Kings 200 4.9ft with a JMPE5, nailked a 25kg King in no time, so easy to jig with I would go all day with this set.

Hey Carl.
I just picked up my JM200 3 Kings special this wee from Yeehaa. I'd be keen to know what weight jig you think works best with this rod. (in your backyardWink)
