I've been off the kayak for a number of years, but realize I don't go out nearly as much on my little Smartwave boat as I did on my kayak. So thinking of selling the boat and buying a kayak again.

What should I buy for a lazy, 135kg and 6'3, clumsy old fool? Previously I had an electric powered Old Town Predator, which they promised would be upgradeable to pedal power, but of course then decided you'd have to buy a whole new kayak. Still, not knowing of anything better and with the stability and loading capacity of the Old Town Predator, that would still be my choice at this stage.

Is the anything similar to consider?

The Old Town Predator is a good option, as it is both stable and has a high load capacity. Additionally, it is now possible to upgrade the Predator to pedal power, which would be a good option for someone who wants to avoid paddling.  Other similar kayaks to consider include the Lifetime Kokanee Kayak, the Intex Explorer K2 Kayak, and the Sevylor Colorado Kayak.
