Fantastic fish. Absolute monsters! Shame they didn't use a hook just onc,e the vid RELLY needed to have a rod bent and a reel screaming, although there would have been no chance of landing such beasts on that sort of gear I'd imagine.
Also, as billy ho says "zoom is doom"... a lot of massive hits were missed coz they had the video zoomed in too much.
But still.... what amazing footage! Prince Edward Island, cold, cold cold place!

Makes our 20kg tuna we catch look rather small.

Great footage of a real life situation. Clap

If they had want to, they could have tossed a squid out, Thumbs Up if they had one, and, they would have had a  great fight, but hats off to a man LOL that wanted to pop fish, and knows when he is beat (no hooks)

In a recient article I read it commented that most fisherman do not think outside the square to getting the best result out of an expensive trip , they simply stick to what they have planned to do and get only what they do out of there own.

This dvd is pure indulgence at it's best, most of us have never seen the likes it and never will Cry

Insane action...

Guys just as a note, Kil and crew did catch a couple of those huge BFT on stand up gear, as well as test some of Kil's BlackHole jigging rods on them.... they were just messing with the stickbaits to see what would happen..

2 days back Greg landed a 778lb BFT in 1 hr and 5 muinutes on a the following tackle:

-5' 450g custom Black Hole Cape Cod Special (cut 8" from tip of 5'8' blank) Jigging Rod
-Penn International 50VSW filled with 825 yards of Jerry Brown 130 lbs/200 lb Seagar fluero leader
-Braids harness/fighting belt.

Check out the video:
