I have been having some undesirable spray from my transducer so decided to make a spray guard.
I ended up making 3.

Mark 1

Mark 2

Mark 3

I'm not sure why the second 2 pics rotated sorry.
1st one would probably work best but it stops the transducer popping up if it gets pushed off the trailer to shallow.
The 2nd one was a little to centered and short and I didn't think it would stop the spray.
The 3rd is similar to 2nd but it mounts further to the left and is 2 inches longer than the 2nd. Hopefully it does the job!

Made from 2mm Alloy.

Nice.
There was a thread a couple months back on the subject also
I simply cut the side and top off a 5L container  and screwed the transducer thru the bottom
Mark 1
To find what worked best... fairing up rather better than expected so M2 hasnt evolved.

The trick is to watch how and where the spray comes up.My issue was older hull not designed for the best transducer response.. and to do so at speed needed to be a little lower.
That then sent spray up over the engine, and a mist that sucked back into the boat. Espec with bimini up.
My 1st bottle I cut short...stopped the engine spray  but still had the sucking back. Which also did suck back onto the engine I think.
Hence why I ended up with a little longer and shielded both sides.

Yeah the mist is an issue but I dont think Im getting too much of that. The reason I made one was the water coming off the transducer was blasting up at the lower cowling and some was getting in. I rinse under the cowling and inox but nice to try and keep it dry as well. Im looking forward to testing it. Just need to find the time.
