Hi All,
 
I am looking to try for my own bait off the beach- Netting some piper would be ideal.
There are a lot of nets out there and I was looking for some opinons from those who have used a drag net.
 
How long/deep?  What mesh size- 1 inch or 1.5 inches? Mono or woven mesh (clear or green mesh)?  Seems to be a lot on the market but I dont want to get stuck with something less than ideal.

1 inch mesh is the standard size and mono is generally better being harder for the fish to see.
 
And go for a lead core rope on the bottom as it saves the tangles and snags.
 
Plenty to choose from at ActionFishing..

Those nets^^ work sweet.
They are clear mesh with lead rope on bottom.
We have the 20m i think, don,t use it much caus of softbaiting tho..

Mokomoa, is 20m long enough?  I note they can get up to 40m?

Its worked fine for us. Depends how much bait you want, and how much you want to spend i guess?
Easily managed with 2 of us.
I maybe selling ours since we don,t use it anymore if you,re keen?
