Cyclops changes

Anyone else notice the changes to the Cyclops rigs? Last time I got some (a year ago I suppose) the loops were about 135 degrees apart. Got one today (4oz) and the loops are 90 degrees apart.
Wonder what the theory behind this is? 
The worm hook also looks somewhat different (apart from me getting a 5/0 whenI should have got 6/0 or 7/0) with the hook point turned slightly out.
Split ring a bit heaver though which is good.
