Whats the general thought on using these for landbased?

Heard the green is good for KYs and the pink for Snaps?

I have used the beads from time to time but are they more for night fishing?

How deep would it need to be before they work during a sunny day or is the colour enough to bring on the bite?

Have never used the tubing but want to give it a go after reading it may also protect the trace from bites!

How do you keep the tubing down on top of the hook if your not using any weight?

Think thats enough questions for now LOL

I use beads before the swivel to stop the swivel bashing the top eye, more than I use it as an attractant

+1 on beads above swivel! Top tip that
 
Occassionally I use the tubing say on a dropper loop, but very rarely.
 
Got more hook ups without that with

I use the beads before the swivel on the mainline and have started using the lumo squid skirts above the keeper hook, seems to be working well :)

same here.....Its a pain when your swivel goes through your top guide....one way to avoid=Tie a leader of 50/60 pound trace attached to mainline(albright knot) and you dont need a sinker...great for big snaps.Wink

I use green lumo beads and tubing all of the time.  I like to make up a load of traces before a fishing trip as I can't stand fiddling around tying knots when I could have the bait in the water!  I alternate the rigs with either a green lumo bead above the keeper or a piece of green lumo tube....sometimes I go crazy and stick a bead AND a piece of tube....I'm insane!!! Geek

Yeah, joining knots are a pain in the arse...for me anyway. I find it far easier to just tie on a swivel with a couple of improved clinch or uni knots. Seems to do the business.

Since I saw this on Youtube I only ever use this knot for attaching swivels to traces and the mainline and have never ever had it fail.  I pre-tie my traces with the swivel attached as let's face it the line will always snap on the weaker mainline so you always lose them.  To tie the trace swivel to the mainline you have to change the process slightly to drop the hooks through the loop....hard to explain but quite logical when you give it a go!

Interesting Gooner, i'll try that out.

I've tested my knots in the vice and haven't had any issues, the line has snapped before it has pulled which leads me to believe it is doing it's job...even 80lbs fluoro.

I strayline where possible without any lead find it much more productive and now using the no name or lethal knot(thanks JK).
Simple to tie..alot more stealth than having a swivel on your line and less likely to catch on anything.
Going to experiment more with the "lumo" though.
