Yes mate landbased. I often fish in places without cell coverage which is the main reason I'm looking at a VHF but as well as that mobile phones are just too fragile around rocks and water!

I'm looking at buying a handheld VHF to keep in my pack. The two that I'm looking at at the moment are Uniden Voyager or Undien Atlantis. Aside from the price the only difference I can really make out between them is that the Voyager is much smaller in size. Does this really justify the extra $100 on the price though?
