That would be a nice setup to use. We have a similar setup on the boat but given the choice again i would be looking at either a new jigging master PE4, the new accurate BX2 which i have tested and found great or wait till the new Shimano Talica comes out. or even better get a spin setup and put a new 10000 stella on it.

my thoughts after owning a torium 20 for a few years now is don't do it...   get a saltist or saltiga instead - they seem to be more bullet proof.
don't get me wrong a torium 20 will still do the job but their anti reverse systems are weak as and in my opinion are certainly not built for the harsh conditions that mechanical jigging puts them through.  i've had mine crap out on me twice - and now whenever i do the drag right up on my torium 20 and pull line off the handle will actually judder back an inch in order for the tiny anti-reverse latchet to clamp on. Also they have a lot of plastic parts in them which to me makes them seem weak.
however if you don't want to thrash it and give it all you've got then they're a great reel...   just not good if you plan on going into serious battle with them. i would not feel confident at all with a 20k king attached to the end of mine - put it that way.   - certainly not saying they can't do stuff like that, because they can and matt watson proved it by catching a marlin on one, but in my mind i have a lot of doubt as to how they perform as a mechanical jigging reel.

Fully Blueprinted & Pimped for Jigging. new AR bearing, New Carbontex Drag Washers & Precision Lapped Metal Plates, up to 20lb Drag, Top shotted with 300m of 50lb Braid.

its a good price I feel, was thinking about the new stuff coming but then it comes with a good price tag as well, getting a 665 slammer with 80lb for the bigger rod shortly and have 2 custom spinning rods and reels coming spooled with 400m of 80lb braid.
these will be used for marlin but will double as a jig set up as well.

I am currently using a torium 30, which is ok and on the bigger rod with 80lb have nailed a few fish on it in recent times.

I wouldn't bother with pimping the torium, it's just a glorified snapper reel, reely. Not worth the cost and effort. With the amount of issues that are reported on this site about the anti-reverse stuffing out on them, I rekon shimano need to really spec it up, as mentioned, they are not up to it.

If you can get the anti reverse sorted can't see any probs, looks and pretty simple and easy enough to DIY, would be wary of using one otherwise, seen what a failed torium anti reverse does someones thumb and it aint pretty.Dead

The Trinidad series is the up spec of Torium.
If you are going to jig alot then spend the money on it.  Get a TN40N, Ocea Jigger or a Stella pain and simple.
You ask any person that jigs alot and the will tell you to get the best reels available for the job, which are usually the top end Shimano and Daiwa reels.
