In order to throw some light on some of the "real-time" and "actual" fuel usage figures being achieved by forum members, I thought I would start this thread so we can all contribute through the season.

Bout an hours run out at about 20Knots 7 and 3/4 hours trolling and another 15 minutes back from Whale island.

Bout an hours run out at about 25Knots and half hour run back to Manukau bar.

Jeeze Wetspot at $385 in gas alone for a days fishing your'd wana put a few in the coffin would'nt ya or get some rich mates.

Hey TZer,  yup traded the suzi,  to be blunt I didnt like the thing that much due to a few niggles id had with it, especially after a weekend trip to the barrier with three of us on the boat and a load of gear it was always dragging its ass badly and the torque or lack of it loaded up meant the fuel bill was pretty high, dont get me wrong it was great for a 4 stroke, but after living with it for a while I have just decided that after already owning an etec before id rather have one than a 4S, i think that with my plans to keep this rig for a very long time that if a 4 stroke goes wrong after the warranty runs out  it would be outside my means or skill to repair it, also now the thing is on the plane at a lot lower speeds (more torque 50kg lighter) its got a lot more grunt it doesnt drag its ass and rides even better and its miles quieter and quicker, according to the same fuel comp i had when the suzuki was on her its better on fuel by a long way especially at trolling speed than the suzuki even with an extra 25hp,  yea i have to buy oil but a $500 service a year buys me a lot of oil!!

Hey turtle was that you in the surtees cuddy in  peach cove??   fishing was hard, how you get on? we were going for a game fish but turned round outside tuts as it was a lot rougher than the forcast and lauched at paura instead.....on the suzi my first service was $500,  didnt think it had to be serviced every 50?  does it?
