Craw, jokes aside
Get a grip
I wish they wouldnt persist with running it off the goal line tho.
I mean theres attacking Rugby and then theres suicide.
Mealamu had a Blinder, Collins not far behind........Joe is a freak
The Frog should join the Englishman in never refing another international.
Absolute bollocks! The look on the boks faces was confusion/derision it went on for a ridiculous length of time and is an absolute sop to PCism and Maori that don't like Te Raupraha's 'Kamate' haka cause he was a butcher (like none of the others were!).As for tradition the AB's never used to do the haka at home (until the modern era when it became commercialised like every other aspect of the game)my girlfriend is part-Maori and was howling with laughter her dad was like "what a bunch of turkeys".You can bet that various teams/individuals will react in various ways and be criticised/vilified by various elders/'authorities' on the 'correct' response to this farce.Me I'm with Bob Dwyer and anyone else who says 'scrap the haka',oh and as for the 'commentator' Hamish McKay going on like a circus monkey "your'e about to see something very special tonight" he's not fit to clean Keith Quinns boots, any way part from that what a game!
I liked the new haka, I was heartily tired of the old one, it was an old museum piece, trotted out for every visiting foreigner, team, tiddlywinks contest etc, it was time for it to go IMHO.
The new one? Great! Sure got the bloody going nicely, and reflected a little more of the polynesians influence in NZ culture than the old maori-only haka. Didn't seem so absurd for guys like Tana and the other islanders in the game, and certainly was pure aggression. If those are the words as well, well, they seem ok too I reckon. I mean, Ka-mate etc... "will I live, will I die?"...seems a leeeeettle over-intense for a game of ruggers, eh?
And those that wanted some $$$$ to have the ABs do the old haka, well, they can get stuffed. Good job.
And we WON!! Wasn't that NICE!!! Very nervous last 4 minutes though :-)
Now... next week.......
cheers, Stu.
Loved the new Haka.
The question is, why is it theirs?, Nothing to do with change for the better, all to do with copyright me thinks.
I'm sure the last words of the Haka translates to say " Copyright All blacks 2005" ...lol
