I live in the arctic and fly-fish mostly fresh water for
Northern Pike (Jackfish). I am super lucky to be in Rarotonga for 2 weeks next
March and hope to land my first salt water fish on the fly - It doesn't need to
be a 10lb bonefish, I would be happy with just about anything pulling my line.
Unfortunately I am unable to get to Aitutaki.
I have a # 9 TFO BVK (large arbor reel with WF9F) and hope this
will suffice to catch .....something? We are hoping to stay around Muri Lagoon.
I hope I can get some local knowledge to prepare but cannot wait to socialize
at the fishing club in Raro. Maybe I'll bring some pics of my top Arctic fish.
