Mery Christmas all hope you had a good day!, was out in the Firth of Thames today, pretty quiet for the most part until something took my stray line, turns out that it was a Thresher, broke off after a few massive runs and leaps out of the water, ive caught some pretty big blue sharks on the same setup that hooked onto this thresher but i dont think ive ever experienced such a strong fish before, the runs were so fast and endless, and when it wasn't running or leaping out of the water there was such a heavy dead weight that I couldn't do much. Anyways my question is, have you guys had any experience with threshers around the firth of thames or have any facts about them in general? ive been fishing around the firth for quite a few years and have never seen one before, or even heard of them for that matter until today and the information online seems quite limited on this shark. Beautiful creature, and an amazing fighter, body was around 1.5m and the tail was about the same length, amazing colours on it also. Thanks all.
